La nueva base de Jet2.com en Reino Unido enlazará con tres destinos españoles

Jet2.com, la aerolínea de bajo coste del norte de Inglaterra, anuncia la apertura de una nueva base en el Reino Unido. El Aeropuerto de Glasgow se convertirá a partir de abril de 2011 en el octavo centro de operaciones de la compañía en Gran Bretaña y el segundo en Escocia que enlazará con tres destinos en España.

La compañía ha anunciado ya los nueve primeros destinos que estarán conectados con Glasgow, “en los que se confirma una vez más la fuerte apuesta de Jet2.com por el mercado español”, destaca la compañía, ya que entre ellos figuran Alicante, Mallorca y Tenerife.

Spain reigns in Skyscanner August search stats

Spain remained the most searched country for flights by UK travellers in the peak holiday month of August, followed by domestic destinations.

In third place in a league table produced by flights comparison site Skyscanner.net was the US - the only country outside of Europe to make the top ten.

Turkey was fourth, followed by Italy, France, Greece, Germany, Portugal and Cyprus.

Malaga and Alicante were the top individual destinations, while searches for flights to Tenerife rose two places against July to number three, overtaking both Palma and Dalaman.
